Mrs. Cooper, wife of Mr. C. E. Cooper, of Lower Creek township, and mother of Mr. Jno. H. Cooper, of Morganton, died at her home on Monday, after a lingering illness, and was buried at Mt. Pleasant churchyard on Tuesday, the funeral services being conducted by Rev. Mr. Scales and Rev. Noah Kaylor. Mrs. Cooper was 79 years of age and had been a consistent member of the Methodist church for a number of years. She was the mother of a large family of children.
